Players will gather allies and coordinate efforts to take on the biggest threats to Middle-earth.
The Treason of Saruman is the fifth Saga expansion for the LotR LCG. Saga expansions allows you to play scenarios adapted directly from the narrative told by Tolkien. In The Treason of Saruman, you will find three scenarios based on the first half of The Two Towers. These scenarios can be played individually, or linked together, to form a campaign. The campaign can be continued with The Land of Shadow saga expansion - which includes scenarios that span the second half of the novel.
This expansion contains 165 cards including three heroes: Aragorn, Theoden, and Treebeard, and allies such as Legolas, Gimli, and Hama. With the fellowship divided, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli track a band of Uruk-hai across the plains of Rohan. In their bid to rescue two of their number, the hunters are drawn into the defence of Rohan. Saruman has betrayed the west and unleashes an army of Uruks to crush the people of Rohan at Helms Deep - but in his arrogance he angers the Ents of Fangorn, who themselves launch an assault on Isengard.
Note: This product is not a standalone product. Players will need a copy of The LotR card game: Core set in order to play. A copy of The Land of Shadow is not necessary to enjoy this expansion - but the two have been designed to be played as one combined campaign.
