Compatibility & Fitment
- Designed for 2-inch Hayward Vari-Flo multiport valves.
- Fits Hayward valve models SP0715 and SP0716.
- Compatible with select filter systems, including model S220T2.
- Fits valve model HCV20715.
When to Replace
- Water is visibly leaking from the backwash or waste port when the valve is in the "Filter" position.
- The existing gasket is cracked, warped, compressed, or visibly worn.
- Difficulty turning the valve handle due to a degraded seal.
- Loss of suction or pressure in the filtration system traced back to the multiport valve.
Installation Tips
- Turn off the pool pump and release all pressure from the system before disassembly.
- Remove the valve handle and lid to access the old gasket.
- Carefully pry out the old gasket. Note the orientation of the spokes.
- Thoroughly clean the channel where the gasket sits, removing all old adhesive and debris.
- Apply a suitable, waterproof adhesive to the channel to secure the new gasket.
- Press the new gasket firmly into the channel, ensuring it is seated flat and level.
- Reassemble the valve and allow the adhesive to fully cure before pressurizing the system.
