Fender Vintera II ‘50s Nocaster Electric Guitar, Maple Fingerboard, Blackguard BlondeThe Fender Vintera II '50s Nocaster is a detailed homage to the earliest production Fender guitars. The Fender Vintera II '50s Nocaster is a detailed homage to the earliest production Fender guitars. Made with pride in Fender's Ensenada, Mexico facility, this brand new Nocaster is in some ways a reissue, but in many ways a player's guitar.
The name "Nocaster" happened somewhat by accident on its own. What we know as the Telecaster was originally dubbed the Broadcaster after Leo Fender's love of radio and disc jockeying. Gretsch asked for a cessation of the Broadcaster name, as their company produced the Broadkaster snare drums at the same time. Production did not cease while a new name was in the works, with a simple removal of the word "Broadcaster" from the headstock. Vintage collectors and historians would refer to these "nameless" Broadcasters as the Nocaster.
This Vintera II '50s Nocaster represents the earliest Fender features - Alder body in classic Blackguard Blonde, Thick '50s "U" profile Maple neck with 7.25" fingerboard radius, 21 Vintage Tall frets, and Fender Vintage-Style Tuners. No Blackguard Fender would be complete without three Brass Saddles at the bridge, and this Vintera II '50s Nocaster is no exception. If you follow vintage Fender, you may be asking "Is it a tone knob or a blend knob?" (Google it!) For this Nocaster, Fender chose the likely-preferred volume and tone combination, with pickup selections being Bridge, Bridge+Neck, and Neck position.
