Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers
- Replaces any start capacitor with a 590-708 MFD/uF capacitance range and a 110V, 115V, or 125V rating.
- Commonly used as a replacement for CD60 type start capacitors.
- Verify physical dimensions for proper fit before ordering.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Designed for intermittent duty in single-phase AC motor starting circuits.
- Suitable for a wide range of applications including HVAC systems, air compressors, well pumps, refrigeration units, and other electric motors requiring a start capacitor.
- Compatible with any system that requires a capacitor with matching electrical specifications and physical dimensions.
When to Replace
- The electric motor hums but fails to start.
- The motor is slow to start or requires manual assistance to turn.
- The circuit breaker trips when the motor attempts to start.
- The existing capacitor shows physical damage such as bulging, cracking, or leaking fluid.
Installation Tips
- WARNING: Capacitors store an electrical charge. Always disconnect power to the unit before servicing.
- Safely discharge the existing capacitor by shorting the terminals with an insulated screwdriver.
- Verify that the MFD/uF range and voltage rating of the new capacitor match the specifications of the original part.
- Note the wire connections before removing the old capacitor. Reconnect wires to the same terminals on the new unit.
- Ensure the capacitor is securely mounted in its bracket.
