The Shakespeare Catch More Fish 2 Trout Kit is the perfect starter combo for trout spinning and includes a quality rod and reel plus a tackle box full of gear to get you started.

The rod has a durable carbon composite blank with a 2 piece construction. It has a silver and orange styled colour scheme and features an EVA comfort handle with a reliable DPS reel seat.

Included with the rod is a suitably matched Beta RD reel that is pre-spooled with high quality Beta monofilament. The tackle box has a durable hard plastic design and includes the following inside:

  • 1 x Berkley power bait
  • 2 x Devils Own Spinners
  • 5 x size 8 hooks
  • 5 x barrel swivels
  • 2 x bubble floats
  • 1 x 1/2oz non-toxic lead

I don't write many reviews but this is a genuinely good cabinet! I checked out Lowe's and was underwhelmed with the quality of what they had on hand so I bought this. It feels like solid construction and was pretty easy to assemble (though I consider myself handy). It looks great, it's got a nice amount of storage space, and it feels like a good value overall IMO. Maybe it's a touch on the pricy side, but in the end, I feel like I got my money's worth. The one knock is that they don't really give instructions on how to install the piece of wood it sits on (called a French Cleat). They gave three drywall anchors with some very long screws. One of my French cleat holes was in front of a stud so I had to use my own screw to mount that one. Other than that, great piece overall and in fact I bought 2 more!

This is quite nice. It is sturdier than I expected. The way it hangs is really nice, it will be easy to lift off to paint the wall. The hinges are nice and soft close. One bad thing is it is quite smelly right away. I keep forgetting to keep the doors open to air that out so every time I open it I am still hit with the bad chemical smell. There were also sticky areas around the edges from the packaging that I had to work hard to get off and still don’t have quite all of it off.
