Bernadine Kemarre is a rising star in contemporary Aboriginal art. She was born in 1974 in the Ltyentye Apurte Community (Santa Teresa), approximately 80km east of Alice Springs, Northern Territory, and had a traditional upbringing before attending school in Alice Springs.

Bernadine comes from a family of famous artists, including Abie Loy and Josie Petrick Kemarre, who have emerged from the Utopia area in the NT. Her sister-in-law is Anna Price Petyarre, one of Central Desert's most sought-after artists. From a young age, she learned the art of painting her dreams, ceremonies, and important bush foods onto canvas.

Bernadine lives with her husband, Steven, and their children in Napperby Station, NT. Her artworks are intricate and colorful, and she is an artist sure to succeed.

Artwork Story

The medicine bush leaves depicted were originally of the Kurrajong tree, of
which some 30 varieties date back 50 million years. They scale from
small shrubs to massive trees some 30 metres in height. In the larger trees,
their trunks are used to store water, but the leaves have medicinal
purposes.

The women of Utopia, the remote region far to the west of Alice Springs, where
Jeannie’s people gather the bush leaves, boil them and then mash
them with animal fats (kangaroo, emu or goanna) making a medicinal poultice
or paste that can last for many months. The paste is used to heal many afflictions such as bites, wounds, skin infections, rashes and skin cancer. The
bush leaves are also boiled in hot water to make an infusion or healing tea.
Other preparations were used as insect repellent or were thrown into the
water to stun the fish.

The desirability of the artworks

Admirers of the medicine bush leaf paintings often observe their mesmerizing
attraction. People are captivated by how the paintings appear to be in motion in
front of their eyes, like the leaves on the canvas are blowing in the
wind. Many buyers and collectors of medicine bush leaf artworks both in
Australia, America and Europe are medical specialists who buy the works
to hang in their consulting rooms to show Aboriginal artwork with medical
connotations.

It’s about support more than anything else !
Style: ET-4800, Color: White, Set: FAX/ADF/Print/Copy/Scan
Printer worked great until it didn’t. Cleared a paper jam that kept giving an issue. Then it gave a scanner error, after paper jam was resolved. I called support; they gathered all my info. Transferred me to someone else who then told me she’d email me some numbers to call for deals on refurbished printers or onsite support. I ended ups solving the problem… I threw the printer in the trash, and will likely not buy anymore epson products. I was willing to pay for service but not waste more time and making more phone calls. I had a credit card; i was willing to use it.

My Go-To Sublimation Paper — Flawless Results Every Time
Size: 8.5"x11", Size: 8.5"x11"
This is hands down the best sublimation paper I’ve used and the only one I continue to buy. I get a perfect transfer every single time—no fracturing, no fading, and no uneven results. The paper dries fast, which makes my workflow so much smoother, especially when I’m producing items in batches. I use this regularly to make air fresheners and tote bags for my small business, and the color payoff is always vibrant and crisp. The transfer rate is excellent, and it works beautifully on light-colored, high-quality polyester and other sublimation-ready surfaces. If you’re a small business owner or crafter who values consistency, quality, and ease of use, this paper is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it and will continue to repurchase.

Best Sublimation Paper
Size: 8.5"x11"
I’ve been using A-Sub paper for my sublimation projects, and it is easily one of the best. The ink dries almost instantly once printed, so I don’t have to worry about smudging the design or getting those annoying "pizza wheel" marks from the printer rollers. The paper itself feels substantial and doesn't tear or curl easily. One of the biggest wins for me is that it never jams; it feeds through perfectly every time, saving me the frustration of wasting expensive ink and paper. When I go to press my designs, the ink releases almost completely, leaving very little behind on the paper and putting all that color onto the project. The final results look super professional, with colors that are vibrant and sharp rather than looking faded or dull. It has worked perfectly for everything I’ve tried so far, and if you want a reliable paper that gives you consistent, high-quality results, this is definitely the one to get.
