In The Gardens, players draft cards depicting different features of the Gardens, using them to build their own portion of it in front of themselves. Players then score points based on what their visitors see as they walk past the Gardens' various flower beds, ponds, native trees, and statues. The tableau you build will have three rows - waterside, grass, and cityside - and you add one card a turn until the area is filled.

The game is accessible and simple to learn, yet offers strategic choices. Its included modules add variability and depth for experienced players, with landmarks such as the Opera House and Harbour Bridge that players can gain for extra points or special abilities, so join the picnickers, joggers, lorikeets, and bin chickens, and enjoy your day in the beautiful Botanic gardens.

Stimulating for Dogs

I use this for my blind and deaf dog. I crumble up small bits of treats and snacks in each compartment for her. I thought this would keep her busy for a while, but she figured it out quickly. The compartments are easy to load, but you need to break up the food or treats into small pieces. If the pieces are too large, they shift during loading and jam the slides. When the slides get jammed, it is hard for my dog to move them around and get to each compartment. She then starts chewing on the slides to get them to move. So far, she hasn't damaged the slides. The ones in the middle spin in a circle, so once she learned that, she breezes through those. She uses her nose to spin them in one direction to get to each compartment. The ones on the outside can be loaded on either side. She learned she has to push or pull those with her nose. It isn't much of a challenge for her, but she loves discovering the treats inside each section. The back has rubber feet, which keep it from sliding too much on the floor. It is well-made and durable. I hand-wash it. It is easy to clean out each section. It is exactly what I was looking for, and the pricing is excellent! I only wish she weren't so good at it and it kept her busy longer.
