It is a wedged piece of walnut, with a base about 2.5" x 5" and top about 5.3" x 6". Height of the block is 5". It has been air-dried to a moisture content of 10-12%. There are lots of photos -- be sure to scroll down below the first 3. There are a few fine cracks, scattered and insignificant. And a few small borer holes. You can ignore these or may wish to reinforce with CA glue. This walnut block would make a beautiful natural-edged vase or vessel turning. |
