The factory hot-side pipe for the L5P is a measly 2.5in that chokes the engine, while the tight bends and built-in resonator create even more restriction. The Mishimoto hot-side intercooler pipe is 3in in diameter throughout and eliminates the factory resonator to significantly increase airflow, resulting in more power potential. Mishimoto designed this pipe as two pieces, like the factory pipe, for ease of install. This kit also includes our silicone boots with DuraCoreâ„¢ technology. Mishimoto DuraCoreâ„¢ technology is the synthetic material that comprises the innermost layer of all Mishimoto silicone diesel boots. Compared to normal silicone, DuraCoreâ„¢ provides superior resistance to heat, pressure, fuel, and oil. This effectively increases the life of our boots by preventing leaks and blowouts.To add even more reliability, this kit includes Mishimoto constant-tension T-bolt clamps for accurate and consistent holding power. I use these as 'drawers' in my pantry. I can pull them forward to reach items in the back. They slide easily on the coated wire shelving. Stronger than plastic trays - sturdy enough to hold a bunch of cans.
