The AVR-X1700H supports three-dimensional sound formats Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X, plus an HDMI section with HDCP 2.3 support and advanced video processing with up to 8K upscaling for HDMI sources.

The AVR-X1700H features the Audyssey MultEQ XT room acoustic measurement system. With the supplied microphone, it precisely analyses the output of each speaker to optimize every channel.
