Unions face a once-in-a-generation opportunity for renewal with this compelling book. As the global economy shifts, the landscape for organized labor has transformed, presenting an unprecedented chance for unions to regain their strength and influence. Description:
Unions face a once in a generation opportunity for renewal. Decades of decline have been compounded by a global elite who increasingly generate profit from financial engineering in ways that side-step labour and undermine the power of organised workers.
However, as this economic system begins to falter, there are signs of a renewed union movement emerging. Debt-laden firms “ from supermarkets and nursery chains to outsourcing giants “ are collapsing, and workers are organising to determine what comes next. Unionised bank cashiers are refusing to push predatory loans, teachers are striking against the exploitative housing market, and manufacturing workers are pooling redundancy pay to buy-out plants and become worker owners.
Alice Martin and Annie Quick argue that these are seeds of union renewal. To be effective in an age of finance, the union movement must set its ambitions beyond narrow wage-bargaining, and towards the financial systems that have infiltrated workplaces and impoverished communities. By doing so, they can play a critical role in ushering in a new, democratic economy.
No-one committed to economic justice can afford to miss this urgent, highly original book and its radical vision for unions.

Didn't stand a chance.
Size: One Size, Color: Georgia Bulldogs
I didn't know what to expect from this dog toy. I really just wanted a football style toy that we could play with our puppy with, especially during the NFL and college season. We had the toy for one week. I don't know if the toy is poorly made or if my puppy is just a master at destroying everything he puts in his mouth. In any case the first day the rope was ripped from the ball. The next day all the stuffing was all over the living room. The third day he broke the squeaker. By the end of the week the toy was missing most of the rope and what was left was frayed and way shorter than when we first got it, the football itself was flatter than Tom Brady's from deflate gate and just looked like this sad little piece of cloth and resembled something that had been abused for years. I will say he did really enjoy playing fetch with it for the short time he had it. Don't think I'll be buying another. Can't stand to see another toy get abused like this one.

Lasted Less Than Two Days
Size: One Size, Color: Tennessee Volunteers
This is a terrible quality toy! In only two days the seams were busting open and stuffing was all over there house. This was purely a fetch and recover toy. There was not tugging, chewing, or pulling. I am so sad for my dog. He was loving this toy, but because of horrible material and quality it 48 hour tenure has landed it right in the trash. "Tough quality..." do not waste your money. I would give this zero stars if I could.
