Maroon Red & Brown Vintage Kars Turkish Kilim •  Handmade Wool Flatweave Carpet • 5x10 Tribal Flatweave Runner Rug for Hallway, Living Room, Bedroom & Collected Interiors

✔  This vintage Kurdish village kilim feels almost like a woven sketchbook. Every section reveals another symbol — flamingos, turtles, birds, flowers, protective eyes, hooks, stars, women figures, and dozens of smaller motifs scattered throughout the field. The result is a composition that feels playful, deeply personal, and endlessly interesting, inviting new discoveries each time you look at it.

The palette is beautifully nuanced, warm, and richly layered. The field displays remarkable natural abrash, shifting through multiple shades from reddish maroon to chestnut brown across the length of the kilim. These subtle transitions create movement and depth throughout the composition. Decades of age have further softened the colors, giving the rug a richness and character that newer pieces rarely achieve.

Handwoven in a Kurdish village in Eastern Turkey during the 1940s, this kilim reflects a rich weaving tradition where rugs served as both household textiles and visual storytelling. The abundance of symbolic motifs woven throughout the composition speaks to that tradition, creating a piece that feels lively, expressive, and distinctly individual. The geometric medallions provide structure, while the countless motifs transform the rug into a visual record of village life, belief, and tradition.

Woven from handspun wool, the kilim remains structurally excellent. The colors have mellowed beautifully over the decades. A small historic repair is present and visible in the last picture, consistent with the rug's age and long life of careful use.

At 4'8" × 10'5", this is an ideal long-format kilim for hallways, kitchens, studies, bedrooms, galleries, or any space where authentic craftsmanship, rich symbolism, and strong visual character are welcome.

Pretty funny
Format: Hardcover
The book gives us a more focused outlook on Chieg Wiggum. Full of its funny moments, I`d recomend this to huge Simpsons fans as it seems the shows writers managed to give us another hit.

Not the best, but not the worst either
Format: Hardcover
By any means not the funniest book in the series, only the one on Krusty the Clown was more un-funny; but still a worthy addition to your collection and, just like all the others from the series providing a retrospective of anecdotes you might have forgotten.
