The art of slow jigging for offshore species has developed in recent times to become one of the most popular techniques for catching deep holding reef and pelagic species. The Slo Jig R series features quality Toray Carbon blanks with actions fine-tuned to deliver the right balance of light weight, responsiveness, rebound and lower blank strength to deliver an effective slow pitch action. The slow taper blank also brings the fight closer to the angler, allowing them more power and control over scorching runs and aggressive head shakes, reducing the leverage the fish has over the angler and minimising fatigue during long battles.
Premium Fuji Tangle Free K-Series casting guides are fitted with high durability Alconite inserts, while the shaped hard EVA grips and Fuji reel seat have been placed to provide maximum comfort through long fishing sessions. The additional shock cushion placed between the butt and lower grip is designed to provide protection for the blank when placed in a rod holder. Each rod weight in the series has a distinct colour scheme, making it easy to identify different set ups during the pressure of a hot bite.
