Primordial aren't a new band. They've been around upwards of 20 years, and Where Greater Men Have Fallen is their eighth album. By some accounts, they're Ireland's first-ever black metal band. Primordial aren't really a black metal band, at least at this point, but they're perfectly capable of launching into that hummingbird-blastbeat moody-noise thing. T

hey really find liftoff, though, on a song like "Ghosts Of The Charnel House" - locking into a dinosaur-stomp riff, playing it slowly enough that it can really connect, and then letting frontman Alan Averill just open up his throat and howl. Averill has a set of pipes on him.

The singer, who sometimes goes by the ungainly moniker A.A. Nemtheanga, is a classic metal wailer in the mold of Ronnie James Dio or Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson. We don't hear too many voices like his anymore: A full-bodied, high-pitched swooping eagle of a thing, a voice that makes everything around it sound bigger. When the band turns toward minor-key churn and Averill has to resort to something like the standard present-day Cookie Monster growl, as on a song like "The Alchemist's Head," Averill can do that just fine.

The rest of the band has that vastness in them, too. While Averill, at least on this album, is very much an old-school metal frontman, the rest of the band doesn't seem to feel like they need to go all imitation-Dio to keep up with him. Primordial could be a great retro-metal band, but then they'd still sound like a pale imitation of their influences. Instead, they evoke those old sounds when they need to, but they never sound beholden to them.

Even in deep-crunch mode, there's a slight black-metal enervated restlessness to the way they play. And they know how to hold back, too. "Born To Night," the album's longest song at nine minutes, opens with nearly four minutes of atmospheric mandolin strums before they drop the hammer and a monolithic riff bulldozes in out of nowhere. Averill barely sings on "Born To Night," and yet you don't really miss him, since his voice is deployed so effectively.

My go-to sublimation paper for crafting
Size: 8.5"x11"
I've used several sublimation papers, and this one has worked really well for my crafting projects. The colors transfer bright and vibrant, and the images come out crisp with good detail when using the proper sublimation printer and ink. The paper feeds smoothly through my printer and feels like a good quality weight—not too thin and not overly thick. I've used it for tumblers, keychains, and other sublimation projects, and I've been happy with the results. I also appreciate getting 110 sheets in one pack because it lasts a while, especially when working on multiple projects at once. Overall, this is a reliable sublimation paper that gives consistent results and is great for crafters or small business owners.

Amazing product!
Set name: Sublimation Printer, Set name: Sublimation Printer
All I can say is "WOW". I was skeptical about changing over from my Sawgrass to another brand of sublimation printers. But now I wish I started here from the start! Not only does this machine cost a good amount less with the same paper sizes and options as my SG500 but the ink is cheaper per cartridge and 11ml larger than the standard 30ml I am use to. Set up was super easy, as well as the connection. My prints are bold, bright, and beautiful. I am amazed! I am thankful that the details in the prints show through no matter what material I am pressing on. As a business owner, I need a good, efficient printer that doesn't cost more than the product I am selling. I can't wait to continue using my machine. I have not run into any maintenance issue and can not speak on anything of that as of now. Attached photos; however, my camera did not do it justice.

Good image quality
Set name: Sublimation Printer
Has good print quality and has worked well. I like the tray paper feed for regular size and that I can use the back paper feed set up for my mug sized sublimation paper. I had considered converting an ink jet to a sublimation, but for a little more decided to try this. Glad I did. Set up was pretty easy and I'm happy with the color quality and accuracy. I wasn't sure when I first saw the print out, but once the sublimation was doen, it was great.
