Compatibility & Fitment
- Designed for continuous duty in single and three-phase AC motor applications.
- Commonly used in:
- Air conditioner condenser fan motors
- Furnace blower motors
- Heat pumps
- Pool and spa pumps
- Compressors
- Physical Dimensions: 2.0 in Width x 2.5 in Height x 1.25 in Depth (approximate case size).
When to Replace
- Motor produces a humming sound but fails to start.
- The capacitor case is visibly swollen, bulging, or leaking fluid.
- Capacitance measures outside the rated tolerance (below 4.75 uF or above 5.25 uF) when tested with a multimeter.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect all electrical power to the equipment before beginning work.
- Safely discharge the existing capacitor by shorting the terminals with a resistor or an insulated tool.
- Confirm the uF (MFD) rating and voltage of the new capacitor match the component being replaced.
- Note the wiring configuration before disconnecting the old part.
- Ensure all electrical connections are tight and secure after installation.
