Chuta Ito is famous for being the architect of Tsukiji Honganji Temple, one of the most fantastical buildings in Tokyo. He has created a very personal "cartoon" that satirizes the situation around World War I with his charming characters.

This book can be considered Chuta's personal "picture diary." In the preface to the first volume, he says that he never intended to publish it in the first place.

The original form of "Asuracho" was a large number of postcards drawn by Chuta. Based on the ever-changing war situation of World War I, the postcards depict the turbulent society of the time .

The postcards are drawn in the form of demons and monsters , and the address side records events and statistical data that are the subject of satire. The five-volume set, "Asuracho," uses only the illustrations, and the address side is not published. One can see here the entire collection:

Incidentally, Ito Chuta continued to draw postcards until 1950 (Showa 25), totaling an astounding 3,717 in total. You can view the full collection on the aforementioned website.

Excellent Quality
Size: 11"x17", Size: 11"x17"
This paper is the only paper I have ever tried with my sublimation printer. I get the most vibrant colors with every transfer. I have not experienced any fading even after washing multiple times. I have purchased this paper in letter size, 11x17, as well as 13x19 for use on welcome doormats. I have not been disappointed with any. The paper feeds through my printer without issue whether I load a single sheet, or multiples. So far, I've used it to sublimate on dishtowels, garden flags, welcome mats, t shirts, sweatshirts, and mugs. I am always happy with the finished product. I highly recommend this sublimation paper, and it can usually be found at a great price. I advise you to stock up when you see a sale

Best sub paper!
Size: 8.5"x11"
This is actually my second box of this paper I purchased. I use it that much! I like it that much! It works easily through my Epson 2850. The sub ink transfers to this paper with vibrant colors before pressing. I like the ASub print on the back to help me load the paper correctly in my printer. The ink does not bleed through the paper. I like that this paper comes in a plastic bag and in a box. This is helpful to keep the moisture out of the paper. The paper is durable as I try to manipulate on my substrate.
