These very old natural linen torchons all have a beautiful red stripe running down both sides. A small red DB monogram has been stitched on each towel. These torchons could use a good washing and they will soften up a bit more. I don't see this color linen much anymore - this is the early stuff - probably late 1800's.

To clean hemp, linen or nettle wash in your washing machine with soap and warm water. Once removed from washing machine, snap out any wrinkles. Hang to dry and then press with a hot iron. The more these fibers are washed, the softer they become.

These towels will last a lifetime if well cared for.
