Meet the Allied Telesis Tranceiver/Media Converter—a compact, versatile Gigabit Ethernet bridge engineered to unify copper and fiber networks with minimal effort. This device is designed for reliability in small to mid-size deployments, delivering seamless 1000Base-T and 1000Base-X performance in a compact form factor that fits neatly on a desk or in a small equipment cabinet. It serves as a smart, plug-and-play solution for extending reach between switches, routers, and fiber-backed networks, making it ideal for office environments, campus edges, retail networks, and data-center edge connections. The unit’s auto-negotiation and Auto MDI/MDI-X capabilities reduce configuration steps, enabling quick, pain-free setup even in mixed‑vendor environments. Smart Link Restoration and Smart MissingLink features monitor link health and automatically recover from interruptions, helping to maintain uptime without manual intervention. RoHS compliance underscores the product’s alignment with modern environmental and safety standards, while its desktop design and optional wall-mount compatibility provide flexible placement options to suit any workspace. For organizations seeking a tidy, scalable approach to network upgrades, this transceiver/media converter delivers dependable performance without sacrificing space or simplicity. When paired with Allied Telesis accessories such as the AT-DMCWLMT wall-mount kit, you can mount the device securely on a wall or beneath a desk, freeing rack space for more critical equipment. The copper to fiber bridge configuration—featuring 1 x RJ-45 1000Base-T port and 1 x LC 1000Base-X port—enables a wide range of topology choices, from copper-to-fiber uplinks to fiber backbones that connect distant segments of a campus or data center. The device’s AC power input ensures reliable operation in professional environments, and its robust feature set is designed to deliver consistent, high-speed links even in challenging installations. In short, the Allied Telesis Tranceiver/Media Converter blends flexibility, performance, and ease of use to help IT teams deploy resilient networks with less friction and more uptime.

  • High-speed Gigabit bridging between copper and fiber: 1 x 1000Base-T RJ-45 copper port connects to switches, routers, or uplinks, delivering full-duplex Gigabit performance for demanding office and data-center traffic.
  • Single-mode or multi-mode fiber support via 1 x 1000Base-X LC port: Extend distances beyond copper limits and link distant network segments with ease.
  • Resilient, smart features: Auto Negotiation, Auto MDI/MDI-X, Smart Link Restoration, and Smart MissingLink continuously monitor and maintain link integrity, automatically recovering from interruptions.
  • Flexible deployment options: Desktop footprint with optional wall-mount capability using the AT-DMCWLMT accessory (sold separately), ideal for tight workspaces and space-constrained closets.
  • Compliant and reliable: RoHS compliant and built for professional networks, including a Link test capability to verify connections and ensure proper operation.

Bulky
I was a little disappointed in how bulky these were and seemed hard to get on. If you can get past this they do seem to work good. Hands do seem softer and a bit healthier.

Really moisturizes hands
These gloves really work. My cuticles and hands alway seem dry. I used these gloves the first night I received them and my hands were really smooth afterward. When I get in bed at night, I play on my computer and iPad, and these gloves are perfect. The end of the index finger is designed to be used with a phone, computer, and iPad. Make sure you push the end of the fingers on the gloves all the way down to the end of your fingertips; otherwise you will not be able to use them with a device. I find they work better with my iPad than my computer. I have not tried to use with my phone. The gloves are not uncomfortable, but I found they are not comfortable to wear all night, so I just try to wear them about an hour every night. I wish I had these gloves about 20 years ago and my hands would probably look like a 20 year old.

So much pain
I had to remove these after less than 5 minutes as they caused such intense pain. The gel clings to your skin even with the lotion and tightens around your hands cutting off circulation. They have been off for about half an hour and my hands still hurt. I was so excited as I really like this brand in general. Very disappointed. Be very aware when buying.
