Description:
The Glass Cover Assembly is a vital part of Centauri Carbon's thermal management system. Unlike the front door, the top cover is designed to trap rising heat, creating a stable "heat pocket" within the build chamber. This is critical when printing with advanced materials like Nylon (PA), Polycarbonate (PC), or Carbon Fiber composites, which are highly sensitive to ambient temperature fluctuations.
The assembly features a high-transparency tempered glass pane set within a reinforced frame. It is designed for easy removal, allowing users to lift it off when printing with low-temperature materials like PLA to prevent heat creep, or keeping it securely in place to maintain a constant 50°C to 60 °C internal chamber temperature for industrial filaments.

Maximum Thermal Retention: Designed to prevent the "chimney effect" where heat escapes out the top, ensuring uniform cooling across the printed part.
Toughened Tempered Glass: Resistant to high internal chamber temperatures and accidental impacts; significantly more durable than acrylic alternatives.
Vibration Dampened: Includes integrated gaskets or rubber contact points to prevent rattling during the Centauri Carbon’s high-speed (600mm/s) printing movements.
Odor & Noise Reduction: Helps contain VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and mechanical noise within the printer, especially useful when printing ABS.
Toolless Operation: Engineered for quick lifting and placement, facilitating easy access to the toolhead and filament path.
