The Mada Pinot Gris sizzles through the palate, it begins in a tight coil then releases like a whip through the mouth. Compelling example of the variety. The fruit is grown by Freeman Vineyards, Prunevale, Hilltops. The grapes are grown on a sloping North facing site to South of Young, NSW. The site is defined by its decomposed granite base under ancient red sands. The wine production is split three way: 60% tank fermentation with moderate solids in fermentation,  30% french oak with high solids ferment, and 10 % carbonic maceration.
