Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Every surface of this handcrafted bronze lion statue rewards close attention. The musculature across the shoulders and haunches is sharply defined, each grouping of muscle catching light differently across the rich dark brown patina. The flowing mane carries fine strand-level texture, and the open mouth reveals fully modelled teeth and a recessed interior. Paws and individual claws are rendered with the same care given to the face. This is the result of the traditional lost-wax process, in which a wax model is invested in ceramic shell, burned out, and replaced with molten bronze; every cast retains the exact character of the original model. Hand-finishing and patination are applied after casting to achieve the warm, deep tones visible across this classical bronze lion sculpture.

The lion sits on a low, rectangular black marble plinth with visible white veining, a base that anchors the composition without competing with it. The dark stone reads well against pale stone floors, dark hardwood, or polished concrete.
