In addition to the ergonomic benefits, the pacifier has a shield that curves away from the child's face, so the delicate skin gets air when the pacifier is in use. The shield is also equipped with air holes as well as a safety ring.

Storage
The pacifier should always be stored clean and dry, for example in a closed box or in a pacifier box. In particular, avoid placing the pacifier in direct sunlight or heat, as this can weaken the natural rubber. Also avoid sterilizing the pacifier with anything other than boiled water.

Cleaning
Before the pacifier is used for the first time, pour boiling water over it, after which it should soak for 5 minutes. Do not boil the pacifier. Thereafter, the pacifier should be regularly sterilized by pouring boiling water over it. As this is a valve pacifier, liquid will enter the nipple head. When the pacifier has cooled, squeeze the water out of the nipple part to ensure hygiene.

Why is the nipple clear in the material on some pacifiers and matte in the material on others? Natural rubber latex is a natural material with many good properties, such as softness, tensile strength, and great durability against bites. However, latex and also natural deviations in the material will be visible in the right light. Therefore, the nipple's appearance may vary in clarity and color.
