Players will gather allies and coordinate efforts to take on the biggest threats to Middle-earth.The LOTR card game, Core Set, will provide you with 226 cards, including; player cards, events, quests, and heroes - from which a variety of decks can be created. These decks will be the engine that drive you through three exciting scenarios. Form a party from twelve heroes to suit your preference and style of play. Each hero is aligned to a sphere of influence: Leadership, Lore, Spirit, or Tactics. Heroes included in the Core Set include Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Eowyn, and Glorfindel. Each sphere offers unique advantages, choose and combine them wisely.The scenarios in the core set take place between Bilbo's 111th birthday celebration, and Frodo leaving the shire, 17 years later. Want more? Continue your adventures in Middle-earth by picking up some of the many expansions. Expansions offer new heroes and artifacts that will enhance your party and enrich your gameplay experience. They also offer new challenges by way of perilous adventures and dangerous foes to pit your party against. Standalone Scenario packs provide a self-contained adventure. Whereas Deluxe, Saga, and Cycle Expansions will enable you to play out campaigns.
