The AddOn 1Gbs Single Open SFP Port Network Interface Card is engineered to deliver dependable, enterprise-grade network performance for high-end servers and diverse networking applications. This Gigabit Ethernet PCIe 2.0 x4 NIC combines robust reliability with flexible connectivity, making it a versatile solution for data centers, virtualization hosts, storage networks, and mission-critical applications. Designed to adhere to IEEE 802.3 standards, it provides a scalable, cost-effective path to upgrade your server connectivity without overhauling your infrastructure.

  • 1 Gbps throughput with IEEE 802.3 compliance: Enjoy true Gigabit Ethernet performance in a dedicated PCIe NIC built to handle demanding workloads. Whether you’re provisioning virtual machines, streaming data between storage arrays, or supporting backup and disaster recovery tasks, this card delivers steady, predictable network speeds with full duplex capability for concurrent inbound and outbound traffic.
  • Open SFP port for modular flexibility: The single Open SFP port design gives you the freedom to choose the perfect transceiver for your environment. Use fiber or copper modules as needed to connect to data centers, campus networks, or remote sites. Transceivers are sold separately, allowing you to tailor your network topology without replacing the NIC.
  • PCIe 2.0 x4 interface for broad compatibility: With a PCI Express 2.0 x4 bus interface, this NIC integrates smoothly into modern servers while leaving headroom for concurrent I/O tasks. The x4 connection provides ample bandwidth to support gigabit networking without overloading the PCIe backbone, ensuring low CPU utilization and steady performance in multi-tenant or virtualized environments.
  • Easy deployment in standard servers: This card is designed for straightforward installation in typical PCIe slots. Its compact form factor fits into many server chassis configurations, and the installation process requires no complex configuration—often enabling OS-level recognition with minimal setup. It’s a practical upgrade path for servers needing enhanced network reach without changing existing NIC investments.
  • Reliability for critical workloads: Built for uptime in data centers and enterprise environments, the AddOn NIC emphasizes stable operation, consistent throughput, and long-term reliability. It supports steady performance across virtualization hosts, NAS/SAN connections, and batch processing applications, helping to maintain service levels and reduce latency in busy networks.

How to install AddOn 1Gbs Single Open SFP Port Network Interface Card

To install the AddOn NIC, follow these general steps to ensure a clean, reliable setup. Note that exact procedures may vary by server chassis and motherboard, but the process below covers typical PCIe installations used in many data center and enterprise environments.

  • Power down the server, unplug power cables, and ground yourself to prevent static damage.
  • Open the chassis and locate an available PCIe slot compatible with a PCIe 2.0 x4 card. Remove any slot covers as needed.
  • Insert the AddOn NIC firmly into the PCIe x4 slot, applying even pressure until it seats completely. Ensure no wobbling and that the card aligns with the slot.
  • Secure the card with the chassis screw to anchor it to the motherboard tray, then reassemble the chassis if required.
  • Attach an appropriate SFP transceiver module to the Open SFP port (sold separately), and connect your fiber or copper cable according to your network design.
  • Power on the server. The operating system should recognize the new PCIe NIC. If prompted, install any necessary drivers or firmware updates from the vendor or your OS provider, and configure the network interface (IP address, VLANs, etc.) in your OS or virtualization platform.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the AddOn 1Gbs Single Open SFP Port Network Interface Card? Love love love Robeez. Best soft soled shoes for baby/toddler just learning to walk.
Size: 12-18 Months Toddler, Color: Grey Leather
I can’t even tell you how much I love these shoes for my kids. My oldest son born 2018 had a pair of Robeez, the shark kind, and I’ve passed them down through all my boys until now- now somehow one of them has gone missing, still looking. So we got these for baby and oh my gosh Robeez has upped their game! The soles are still soft enough to be pliable but have some structure to them, they fit softly enough to accommodate round chubby feet but again have some structure, and they look adorable. The quality is really high and that’s so wonderful to see this day and age when so many things are produced cheaply. These are truly lovely. And they’re very handsome. My sweet boy wore them to a birthday party at the park and they were a hit. I love this brand so much, and these shoes are so cute. I wish I were having more kids to buy more cute pairs :)

The Perfect First Shoe! Worth the Price.
My little one was just starting the stand/learning to walk and we wanted something to protect his feet while we were out of the house. Since babies/toddlers grow out of their shoes so quickly, I tried desperately to find shoes that didn't cost more than $20. However, I tried about 6 different "cheaper" shoes, all different brands, and nothing would stay on my babies feet. I finally broke down and bought these shoes and they are perfect. I ended up wasting more money trying not to spend too much money on shoes that would be too small after a couple months. It would have been cheaper for me to just buy these shoes to start. Fit wise they are great. Super easy to put on. They stay on! I appreciate the rubber portion on the sole because it gave my little one more traction when he was learning to walk. They are light way and the sole is very flexible which is important for the proper development of their feet. I just wish they made larger sizes because I am going to have to start the hunt all over for the perfect shoe once he grows out of the biggest size that Robeez sells. Save yourself time and avoid wasting money on shoes that don't stay on. Just buy these shoes!

Cute and STABLE
Size: 12-18 Months Toddler, Color: Navy Leather
This brand was recommended by a family member as being good for kids who are learning how to walk, and I definitely agree. My son had a different pair of shoes from Carter’s that fit well and looked cute, but the soles were a little too slick for an early walker despite having little rubberized dots on them. I like that these have more realistic soles, with real traction and support, but still allow the kid’s foot to flex. My son is very comfortable in them and was immediately noticeably more stable while standing and practicing walking in them. Bonus- they are super cute and this design is neutral enough to go with plenty of his clothes. My only small complaint is a little thread coming loose on one shoe, but so far it isn’t causing any issues/doesn’t seem to be unraveling anything structural. Highly recommend overall!

Great shoes!
Size: 18-24 Months Toddler, Color: Grey Leather
Love these shoes, only shoes I put my 15 month old in. However, they do run small. I bought 12-18 month size and my boy out grew them before 12 months old, I had to repurchase 18-24m to fit perfectly.
