Sensational future vintage necklace by Abakus (Marsha Chun-Matsubara), circa 2007. Marsha's fantastic and rare pieces were sold at Barney's and to private clients. Her jewelry line was short lived, but her impact was mighty. This necklace is out of this world! The Pawn necklace was clearly named for the oversized chess-inspired black resin charms that sprawl across the neck. Three rows of chunky faux pearls, graduating in size, attached to three rows of silver tone textured chains with black leather woven through. Huge gunmetal ring toggle closure at backside, and even the details there are amazing as well with the toggle bar made of mesh. This piece is unsigned, but guaranteed authentic.
