1. Ensure the engine is off and completely cool. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for safety.

4. Begin by firmly grasping the boot of the first wire at the spark plug, then gently twist and pull to disconnect it.
5. Follow that same wire to the distributor cap and disconnect it in the same manner.
6. Match the old wire with a new wire of the same length from your replacement set.
7. Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the inside of both ends of the new wire's boots. This prevents arcing and eases future removal.
8. Securely attach the new wire, connecting it first to the distributor cap and then to the spark plug. A distinct "click" should be felt or heard.
9. Proceed to replace the remaining wires, one by one, following the same procedure.
10. Once all wires are replaced, double-check that they are securely fastened and routed away from hot engine parts or moving components.
11. Reconnect the battery terminal, start the engine, and check for smooth operation.
