This vaccine is recommended for the vaccination of healthy and susceptible cattle to assist in reducing infertility, delayed conception, or abortion caused by Vibrio (Campylobacter fetus var. venerealis), as well as the five most common strains of Leptospirosis. Additionally, it is intended for preventing urinary shedding of Leptospira hardjo (L. hardjo) in cattle, with L. hardjo being the primary serovar responsible for chronic infections. Animals vaccinated with this product and subsequently exposed to L. borgpetersenii serovar hardjo (type hardjo-bovis) have demonstrated the ability to clear renal infections within 8 weeks of exposure.
The recommended dosage is 2 ml administered subcutaneously, with a repeat vaccination advised in 14-28 days. Calves vaccinated before 6 months of age should receive a revaccination at 6 months or at weaning, and subsequent revaccination is recommended annually. There is a 21-day withdrawal period for slaughter after vaccination to ensure the safety of meat consumption.
