Background

Glutamate Receptor 1 (GluR1, also called GRIA1 or AMPA-R subunit 1) is a 906-aa transmembrane protein that assembles with other AMPA-type ionotropic glutamate-receptor subunits into Ca2+-permeable, fast-desensitizing ligand-gated channels that mediate the majority of rapid excitatory neurotransmission in the mammalian CNS; its cytoplasmic C-tail contains a PDZ-binding motif that docks PSD-95 family scaffolds and regulates activity-dependent phosphorylation (Ser831/Ser845) and membrane trafficking, thereby controlling synaptic strength, long-term potentiation, learning, memory, and pathological excitotoxicity in stroke, epilepsy, and neurodegeneration.

All around helpful---worth the money!
Format: Paperback
This guide has been most helpful for all the folks I help prepare for the iTEP test! It gives insight into what each section of the test is looking for along with examples and great tips about actually TAKING the test. In the Writing and Speaking sections, it also gives sample scores and comments from the Master Grader which is very helpful too.

Comprehensive, clear and coherent!
Format: Paperback
The iTEP Practice Guide combines a no-nonsense approach to the specific iTEP tests and at the same time offers exercises that task the student with what they need to know. Exercises not only serve the purpose of scoring well, but the overall approach is communicative competence. We use the text in our group and one-to-one classes with very positive--and lasting--results.

No recomiendo
Format: Paperback

Brings a Smile to your face
In this book you will discover why Lisa is not only awesome. But probably why she's not that popular. You'll figure out what she loves and hates. A chilling tale of her and nurse Milhouse. Why her fellow students and friends find her annoying. Get to see what an average day of hers is like, and much more.
