Description

Fabspeed 718 GT4/GTS/Spyder Valvetronic X-Pipe Exhaust System (20+) (FS.POR.718GT4.VLVCFE)The FabspeedValvetronic X Pipe Exhaust System for the 718 4. 0L cars wakes up the sleepy Porsche PSE exhaust and gives them a truly exotic sports car sound all while retaining the functionality of PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust). Our design process started with 3D scanning the entire exhaust system using our CREAFORM 700 Handscan so that we could make a complete Solidworks 3D model of the exhaust. We then designed the exhaust and fixtures using that model

The FabspeedValvetronic X-Pipe Exhaust System for the 718 4.0L cars wakes up the sleepy Porsche PSE exhaust and gives them a truly exotic sports car sound all while retaining the functionality of PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust). Our design process started with 3D scanning the entire exhaust system using our CREAFORM 700 Handscan so that we could make a complete Solidworks 3D model of the exhaust. We then designed the exhaust and fixtures using that model so that the exhaust fit perfectly to OEM standards. After multiple revisions for sound and dyno testing we settled on using our CAD flow engineered investment cast X-Pipe and 2.5" 63.5 mm tubing for the most power and exotic sports car sound. The CAD flow modeled X-pipe is an exclusive Fabspeed part that gives a smooth high pitched exotic sound and flows much better than a X-Pipehandmade fromU bends cut and welded together. The exhaust valves we use are made by Helical Limited in the United Kingdom. These ISO 9001 certified valves are the same ones Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche use on their GT cars. The flanges are thick 304 stainless steel that we CAD designed to perfectly match the OEM flanges and reuse the factory metal gaskets.

SOUND:

With PSE off our Valvetronic exhaust gives a nice subtle increase in volume. With PSE on and the valves open it turns the 4.0L's exhaust note into a truly exotic sound with a significant increase in volume. This system will turn heads as you rip by.If you need to cut down on how loud your exhaust is because of race track rules, we sell turn down tips which cut 3-6db of exhaust SPL.

POWER:

This system makes power throughout the entire RPM band. On our DynoJet we saw +15 whp and 11 ft/lbs of tq at 7,600 RPM and a healthy does of torque down low at 2,400 RPM gaining +28 ft/lbs of tq and +13 whp. This is low end torque you'll really feel around town and horsepower that continues all the way up to redline.

FEATURES:

  • Fits all 718 Cayman/Boxster GT4 / GTS / Spyder Cars 2020+ (Please see the note below for how to identify if your car has early or late model exhaust brackets)
  • Significant Dyno gains across the RPM band. +28 ft/lbs tq @ 2400RPM, +10 ft/lbs tq @ 4800RPM, and +15 whp @ 7600RPM
  • Weight savings of 4lbs 1.8KG vs the factory exhaust
  • Helical Limited U.K. Silicon Carbide exhaust valves
  • CAD designed X-Pipe made using investment casting for maximum possible flow and spectacular sports car sound
  • Constructed from high-quality 14-16ga CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel for optimum flow and maximum durability
  • Emissions legal in all 50 states
  • No Check Engine Light guaranteed
  • Simple DIY bolt-on installation, no cutting or welding required
  • All Fabspeed performance products are backed by the Fabspeed Lifetime Warranty

NOTE:On the 718 GT4 and Spyder, Porsche used early model exhaust bracketsup until roughly the February 2020 build date. After the February 2020 build date Porsche switched to the late model exhaust brackets. Before purchasing you MUST check to see if your 718 GT4/Spyder has the early or late style exhaust brackets. Please see the example photos below

There have to be other places to save on your camping budget
Style: 15' Rhino Sewer Hose
After 5 years of regular use with my original Camco RhinoFLEX sewer hose, I decided to proactively get another one and retire the OG to the inside of the bumper to keep as an emergency use hose. Did I consider purchasing other brands and hoses to save a few $$$? Yes I did. Then I thought about never having to clean up a stinky black tank mess and promptly bought another one. If it ain't broke - or hasn't broke after five years of use - then don't fix it, and by that I mean don't overthink it. RhinoFLEX FTW.

Awesome filter! Nasty campground water no longer...
Style: Standard Filter
I have run these for years in my RV and they work killer! Here's some more in-depth thoughts: Pros: - These work better than I had expected. Just hook them up to the water source, hook your hose to it, run it to your trailer and viola` clean and good tasting water. Some of the places we have visited have had water that I wouldn't feed to my worst enemy. With this thing attached, it's very good tasting. - I like the hose attachment that comes with this to aide in adding flexibility to the system and not put too much strain on the system. I have bought so many of these, I now use one attaching the filter to the nozzle, one out of the filter to my hose, and one attaching my hose to the trailer. Notes: - I will note that the manufacturer suggesting using these for only 1 camping season, and this makes sense. That's what I do, and it seems to work out great. It's not too much $ to replace every season. - Another note, when first putting this filter into service (just the first time of the season, subsequent hook-ups wont do this) there will be a bunch of carbon (black in the water) that comes out of the faucet in your trailer. This is perfectly fine, safe, and of no issue. This is the filter breaking in and getting the extra carbon out of the system. There is no health concern with this happening. I just run the faucet until it clears up, and then we're good to go for the rest of the season. - Last note, when we unhook from our camping spot, I swing the filter in my hand with my arm extended (using centrifugal force, not centrifical, look it up) to get the residual water out of the filter so it doesn't sit in there and spoil. I do this until I get most of the water drops to stop, leave it out on the counter to dry, and boom, it's perfect the next time. Cons: - None to report Overall this filter does a great job taking care of some seriously nasty campground water that we've encountered all over the Southwest US. I cannot recommend it any higher. Clean, Great-Tasting Water Made Easy with Camco Tastepure
Style: Standard Filter
I installed the Camco Tastepure RV inline water filter on our rig, and it’s another example of why I’ve come to trust Camco products. The reinforced strain relief hose is a small but incredibly smart feature—it keeps the connection between the filter, hose, and RV kink-free and easy to manage. Setup was simple, and the whole system feels sturdy and well-designed. A tip I’ve learned through experience: before putting a new filter into service, run water through the internal charcoal filter for 30 - 45 seconds. This flushes out any loose charcoal bits and ensures the first water you drink is crystal clean and tastes amazing. After that, connecting to the RV is straightforward, and you immediately notice how much better the water tastes. Whether filling up a glass or cooking, it’s made a real difference in our RV experience. Reliable, easy to use, and excellent tasting water every time - I highly recommend this to any RV owner who cares about water quality on the road.

works well for camping
Style: Standard Filter
I’ve used this filter on my camper for years without issues, so I installed one in my outdoor kitchen at home. It was connected to a hose bib and left under constant pressure, feeding a small electric water heater for a sink. That turned out to be a mistake. Overnight, the top of the filter housing cracked and leaked water throughout the cabinet. No idea how long it was spraying. This filter works fine for intermittent use (like camping), but it does not appear to be designed for continuous pressure. I would not recommend installing it in a permanent, always-pressurized setup.
