Private Music is the tenth studio album from Deftones and their first in five years, released August 22, 2025, via Reprise and Warner. Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (who previously worked with the band on Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan), the album features longtime touring bassist Fred Sablan stepping into the studio lineup following Sergio Vega’s departure.

Led by the singles “My Mind Is a Mountain” and “Milk of the Madonna,” Private Music builds on the textured heaviness and melodic tension that have defined the band’s evolution, while exploring new dynamics shaped by the longest gap between albums in their career. Chino Moreno’s vocals shift between whispers and roars, anchored by Stephen Carpenter’s layered guitars and the band’s signature blend of atmosphere and intensity.
