Hand-forged and polished with 12 different procedures, the Katana Hosokawa offers a remarkable balance between cutting, edge durability, weight, and practicality. Each blade is meticulously crafted to ensure its effectiveness in both heavy and light cuts. The Damascus Steel 2048 blade, with a red finish achieved through electroplating, is full tang, providing exceptional strength and durability. The design is based on traditional molds of feudal Japan katanas, with precisely fitted parts to prevent any wobble during handling.

• Blade Material: 1060 carbon steel at the core (Shintetsu) + 1075 carbon steel folded 11 times, creating 2048 layers of Damascus steel around the core (Kawatetsu), Honsanmai structure, red galvanized.
• Edge Condition: Sharpened through 12 sharpening processes.
• Tsuka (Handle): Silk, wood, and genuine ray skin.
• Tsuba (Guard): Darkened iron.
• Menuki: Handle ornaments, one on each side.
• Saya (Scabbard): Hardwood.
