Designed for flexible, future‑proof networking, the Allied Telesis MCF3300 is a compact 1U modular chassis that brings scalable media conversion to enterprise deployments, data centers, and edge facilities. With a 1U height and a three‑blade chassis design, it provides a compact yet capable platform to centralize multiple media conversion paths in a single rack unit. This chassis is built to adapt as your network evolves, delivering a balance of density, versatility, and reliability that helps IT teams simplify cabling, optimize space, and maintain steady performance across changing workloads. Whether you’re transitioning from copper to fiber, supporting diverse media standards, or planning capacity for future growth, the MCF3300 is engineered to meet these demands with a streamlined, modular approach.

Key to its versatility is the ability to support up to 24 media conversions, with the exact count dependent on the chosen connector types. This means you can tailor the configuration to your specific environment—whether you need a high‑density mix of copper and fiber interfaces or specialized media links for particular applications. The modular chassis design allows you to scale as requirements shift, without replacing the entire chassis. In practice, this translates to fewer components in your rack, simpler inventory management, and faster changes during upgrades or relocations. The MCF3300’s architecture is purpose‑built to reduce complexity while expanding the capabilities of a single device.

The MCF3300 is powered by hot‑swappable AC or DC power supplies, enabling flexible deployment across various electrical environments and speeds. This capability is a cornerstone of enterprise reliability, letting you swap power sources without powering down the chassis—minimizing downtime during maintenance or power supply refreshes. With hot‑swappable power, you can implement redundant or diverse power configurations to meet uptime targets, which is especially valuable in data centers, communications rooms, or distributed networks where continuous operation matters. The combination of modular interfaces and hot‑swappable power makes the MCF3300 a practical choice for organizations seeking to consolidate media conversion needs into a single, upgradeable solution.

Beyond raw density, the MCF3300 is designed for ease of management and deployment. The compact 1U footprint fits neatly into standard 19‑inch racks, promoting efficient cooling and tidy cabling in environments where space is at a premium. The three‑blade chassis provides a flexible framework for configuring a wide range of media interfaces, enabling seamless interconnection between legacy and modern network devices. This approach reduces the need for multiple standalone converters and helps you build a cleaner, more organized network infrastructure. As networks converge toward higher speeds and more varied media types, the MCF3300 offers a practical path to unify diverse connections under a single, scalable chassis.

In practice, the MCF3300 supports diverse deployment models—from campus wiring closets to edge data centers—thanks to its modular architecture and adaptable power options. Its ability to combine multiple media pathways into one chassis helps to decrease cable sprawl, simplify maintenance, and improve overall network reliability. If your organization anticipates growth in media types or traffic, the MCF3300 provides a scalable platform that can be reconfigured to accommodate future needs without a complete hardware replacement. In short, this chassis is engineered to help you maximize rack efficiency, streamline configuration workflows, and deliver robust performance in demanding network environments.

  • Compact 1U form factor: Fits into standard 19-inch racks, enabling dense deployments and streamlined cabling in data centers, PoL rooms, and edge facilities.
  • Up to 24 media conversions (dependent on connector type): Flexible support for a variety of media interfaces to match your network’s needs while minimizing hardware sprawl.
  • Modular, three-blade chassis: A scalable framework that accommodates multiple interface types and future expansion without replacing the chassis.
  • Hot-swappable AC or DC power supplies: Enables maintenance and upgrades without interrupting uptime, supporting reliable operations in demanding environments.
  • Designed for scalable enterprise networks: Consolidates media conversion paths in a single device to simplify cabling, improve manageability, and optimize space.

Garmin has been a super disappointment.
Style: Alpha TT 25
FOR THE REMOTE: For reasons I cannot fathom as a software developer, the Garmin developers chose to program the handheld to wait for GPS lock before allowing you to control the collar. This is stupid beyond belief and causes frustration that simply shouldn't be. Look Garmin, the remote should be able to communicate with the collar first and foremost. I want to be able to power everything up, put the collar on the dog, and walk out the door. If my dog sees a rabbit or deer, I want to be able to remind him not to chase. I DON'T want to stand there staring at my remote greeted by the message "Waiting for GPS" with all the buttons non-responsive. Fix this! This should be super easy to fix with a firmware update. Fix it and I'll gladly give this unit 10 stars! GPS is way too finicky to have to wait for it before using the basic controls. Update: SERIOUSLY!! HOT GARBAGE. This remote couldn't find a satellite if I stuck one up its... AGH.. and you can't communicate with your dog's collar until it does. FOR THE COLLAR: You won't be happy with the beeper.. It's super quiet. The light is an awesome feature. Vibration may work for your dog, mine doesn't seem to notice it at all. If the antenna was any longer it would pick up signals from outer space. Buy the shorter one if you decide to go with this unit and don't need to keep your dog from crossing an ocean. Seriously though... I'll never buy anything Garmin again. I would recommend you don't either.

Works Great, Use Daily, No Issues
Style: Alpha TT 25
While expensive, this product is rock-solid and has not given me a single issue over 2 years of use. Would buy again, highly satisfied. Can't beat the functionality or peace of mind of knowing right where our beloved family pet and hunting companion is located.

Great little radio, it was.
Great value for the price. I have received excellent audio reports on a couple repeaters I have tested on so far, on the first day with the radio. Love how you can customize all the display background and text colors. Tempature sensing fan works properly. Unfortunately, they do not send a programming cable with this radio, very annoying! It will not save offset and t-ctcs tone into memory mode when programming by hand, which is unfortunate because it is easier to program by hand than some other cheap radios, like the Baofeng keypad. I really wanted to upload all my channels via Chirp, and to make sure Chirp is actually supported before posting review, but it is what it is, and now I have to find a proper programming cable, then hope I did not pick one that does not work. Other than this very disappointing fact, this radio is well worth the money and I highly recommend if you are on a budget or just getting into the hobby. I have mainly been working HF since getting my General ticket and have made contact all over the world, so you can rest assured this review is by someone who knows what they are talking about. Grab one while you can, you will not be disappointed, except for them not including a programming cable! Edit: Have to return, squelch not working on second day. Right in the middle of a net, had to use monitor button to finish my contact. Turn monitor off and the receiver will not open squelch, which is set to 1. Can set squelch to 0 and receive but anyone who runs VHF/UHF knows that, unlike HF, an open squelch is just too noisy. Spent hours trying to fix, no joy! 73, Stephen
