Evolution EB6 6-Piston Front Big Brake Kit

The TTSPORT Evolution EB6 is a front-axle 6-piston big brake kit built for drivers who need stronger thermal capacity, firmer pedal feedback, and more repeatable stopping performance than a factory brake system can deliver. A two-piece forged aluminum caliper, staggered piston layout, and 36 mm two-piece rotors work together to control heat and keep modulation predictable lap after lap and stop after stop.

Why Builders Choose the EB6

Stock front brakes on heavier sport sedans, SUVs, and tuned platforms run out of pad area, piston count, and rotor mass long before the chassis runs out of grip. The EB6 addresses all three at once: more clamping force from six pistons, a larger pad footprint for bite, and a 380–410 mm rotor face with 36 mm vane depth to absorb and shed heat. The result is a brake system that resists fade during repeated hard stops and gives the pedal a consistent, linear feel.

6-Piston Forged Caliper

Caliper Architecture

The EB6 caliper body is forged in two pieces from aluminum, then CNC-finished. Forging compacts the grain structure of the alloy so the caliper resists flex under high line pressure — a flexing caliper wastes pedal travel and dulls bite. Six two-piece, heat-insulated pistons with dust boots push the pad against the rotor; the staggered diameters (30 mm leading, 34 mm middle, 38 mm trailing) compensate for pad taper so the pad wears evenly and bites cleanly from the first millimeter of travel.

Total Piston Area

Total piston area: 55.0 cm² per caliper. The larger pad face plus higher clamping force gives the EB6 noticeably more torque at the front axle than typical 4-piston kits.

Rotor & Heat Capacity

Rotor mass is what actually absorbs energy during a stop. The EB6 runs a two-piece, internally vented rotor 36 mm thick and 380, 390, or 410 mm in diameter, mounted to a CNC-machined aluminum hat. Steel rotors are heat-treated high-carbon cast iron, available in curved-slot, grain-slot, wave-slot, or drilled-and-slotted face patterns. Carbon-ceramic (CCB) rotors are offered for drivers who want the lowest unsprung weight and the highest sustained operating temperature.

Pedal Feel & Brake Lines

Stainless-steel braided lines replace OE rubber hoses on each corner that the kit serves. The three-layer build — PTFE inner liner, SUS304 stainless braid, PVC outer sheath — virtually eliminates hose expansion under pressure, so more of your pedal effort becomes clamping force at the pad. The pedal feels firmer at the top of travel, modulation is more linear, and feedback at threshold braking is sharper.

Each rotor option ships with a matched pad. The steel-rotor pad runs a 0–600 °C operating window with an average friction coefficient of 0.38 — strong enough for hard street and track-day use without chewing into the rotor face. The CCB pad is formulated specifically for carbon-ceramic discs, with a 0–700 °C window and average μ of 0.45 for higher torque at sustained high temperatures. Friction varies with temperature, line pressure, and rotor condition.

Will It Fit? Your 3-Step Check

Wheel fitment is your responsibility. We will help you verify, but final clearance must be confirmed against your specific wheels and any spacers in use.

1. Wheel Diameter

The EB6 caliper requires a minimum 19-inch wheel.

2. Spoke Clearance

The EB6 caliper requires at least 103 mm of internal spoke clearance.

3. Vehicle Model

The EB6 is a platform-adapted big brake kit. Caliper brackets and brake-line fittings are manufactured to your specific vehicle. Confirm year, make, model, trim, and current wheel setup at checkout, or contact us first if you want a fitment confirmation in writing.

Many 19" OE wheels with thick spokes or deep concave faces will not clear; aftermarket forged wheels usually will. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the back of your wheel along with the rotor diameter you want to run and we will confirm clearance before you order.

Installation & Break-In

  • Radial mount with vehicle-specific brackets.
  • Brake line fittings are vehicle-specific on the caliper side and chassis side.
  • Rotor diameter selection is 380, 390, or 410 mm, selected according to application and wheel clearance.
  • A proper bedding-in procedure is required before aggressive use to transfer pad material evenly to the rotor face and stabilize friction.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size wheels do I need to clear the EB6 caliper?

The EB6 requires a 19-inch or larger wheel with at least 103 mm of internal spoke clearance. Some 19" OE wheels will not clear due to spoke geometry — send us a photo of your wheel barrel if you are not sure.

Should I choose 380, 390, or 410 mm rotors?

Larger rotors add thermal capacity and brake torque but require more wheel clearance and add rotational mass. 380 mm is the safe baseline for most 19" wheels; 390 and 410 mm are for drivers who do repeated hard stops or track work and have the wheel size to support them.

Steel rotors or carbon-ceramic (CCB)?

Steel high-carbon rotors handle hard street and track-day duty, are easier to service, and cost less. CCB rotors cut significant unsprung weight, tolerate higher sustained temperatures (0–700 °C pad window), and last far longer in normal use, but they cost more up front and require the matched CCB pad.

Why staggered piston diameters?

The trailing edge of a brake pad tends to bite harder than the leading edge, causing taper wear. The 30 / 34 / 38 mm staggered layout applies more clamping force at the leading pistons and less at the trailing pistons, balancing pad pressure across the friction face for even wear and cleaner modulation.

Will pedal feel actually change?

Yes. The forged caliper resists flex, the larger pistons displace more fluid for stronger clamping, and the stainless-braided lines stop hose expansion. The pedal feels firmer at the top, more linear through travel, and gives sharper feedback at threshold braking.

Is bedding-in required?

Yes. A proper bedding procedure transfers an even layer of pad material onto the rotor face and stabilizes the friction coefficient. Skipping it causes uneven deposits, vibration, and reduced bite. Bedding instructions are included with the kit.

Superb!

My dog absolutely loves this ball. It's too big for him to fit all the way in his mouth, so it's held up pretty well and still makes the sounds.

Durable, Rugged, Dog Approved Fun!!
Style: Original, Style: Original
This thing is durable and worth every penny! I bought this over 5 years ago for my rescue and he STILL loves it. He plays with it near daily and it's got a LOT of love-work scrapes, scratches, and scuffs. But it still works perfectly!! Because he's on the medium side, he can't quite bite down on it. Not sure how it'd hold up to heavy chewers with larger mouths. But he can play with this solo for ages and has SO MUCH fun. We love to listen to his "conversations" as he gets into it with this ball. It's been a winner since the day we took it out of the box. It's also the longest lasting toy we still have! Everything else either wore out, was destroyed, or broke. This battery-free ball has made the cut for us.

Lasted a day for my dog
Style: Original, Style: Original
My dog absolutely loved this toy, but sadly it didn’t even last a full day 😩 I’m not sure if that’s because I have a Rottweiler/Lab mix with the jaw strength of a tiny excavator, or if the durability just isn’t great. Within a few hours, he had already torn right through it 🥲 That said, the sound it makes had us cracking up and definitely kept my dog entertained and intrigued while it lasted!

Great toy!!!
Style: Original
My dog went mental over this ball!!! She will let me roll it through the backyard or in the house and she will go nuts for it but the great part, she will play by herself with this ball. She will roll it and jump on it and just have a blast. Since this is not a normal chew toy, my dog's big, she only gets it when I'm with her. It kind of makes it our special thing when I pull it out. We play every day with it and her enthusiasm has never lessened. She can be in another room when I take it out of the cabinet and the second she hears it, she will run into walls in her rush to get to me so we can play! It really is better than just throwing a ball back and forth. She's completely engaged the entire time it's out. I highly recommend it but just know it's not a normal toy that you can just throw to your dog and walk away. It is an amazing toy to help you bond with your pet.
