The Cisco NCS 5500 2X200G CFP2 MPA represents a bold leap in data networking performance, designed to meet the relentless growth in bandwidth demand across service providers, data centers, and large enterprise networks. This dual 200 Gigabit Ethernet CFP2 MPA port adapter is purpose-built to augment the Cisco NCS 5500 family with scalable, high-density uplinks that empower networks to carry more traffic with lower latency and greater reliability. By integrating two independent 200G CFP2 ports in a compact MPA form factor, it delivers the headroom needed for modern traffic patterns, including scalable spine-leaf architectures, multi-cloud interconnects, and time-sensitive applications such as real-time analytics and video collaboration. Whether you are expanding capacity in a core backbone or optimizing interconnects between data centers, the NCS 5500 2X200G CFP2 MPA provides a robust foundation for future-proof networking that grows with your business. With Cisco’s proven design philosophy emphasizing network reliability, advanced QoS, and comprehensive monitoring, this port adapter is a trusted upgrade path that minimizes risk while maximizing throughput.

  • Dual 200G CFP2 MPA Ports for Ultra-High Bandwidth – This module introduces two independent 200 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks in CFP2 MPA form factor, enabling exceptional uplink density and flexible bandwidth aggregation. With a combined potential throughput of up to 400 Gbps across both ports, operators can scale spine-leaf fabric, enable efficient data center interconnect, and support high-volume service chaining without overcrowding rack space. The design is optimized to reduce latency and conserve energy per bit, delivering superior performance per watt for large deployments.
  • Optimized for the Cisco NCS 5500 Series – Engineered to integrate seamlessly with the NCS 5500 chassis family, this MPA supports Cisco’s advanced switching and routing features, including high-precision quality of service, MPLS speed and reliability, and robust traffic engineering capabilities. Its plug-and-play compatibility simplifies upgrades, allowing network operators to extend capacity quickly without major reconfigurations or downtime. The module aligns with Cisco’s software-defined networking strategy, enabling policy-driven automation and improved operational efficiency.
  • Flexible Deployment for Core and Edge Environments – The compact CFP2 MPA footprint provides deployment versatility across core, distribution, and edge locations. Ideal for data centers pursuing higher uplink density, metro networks requiring efficient long-haul links, and service provider backbones needing scalable transport. By enabling parallel 200G links, the NCS 5500 2X200G MPA supports tiered network designs that evolve with demand, reducing the need for disruptive hardware refreshes while preserving investment.
  • Reliability, Resilience, and Enterprise-Grade Security – Cisco builds reliability into every component, and this MPA is no exception. Expect robust link protection, error correction features, and secure management interfaces that resist tampering and ensure consistent performance under varying load conditions. The module contributes to network uptime with dependable hardware paths and predictable throughput, while maintaining strong policy enforcement and telemetry to protect critical applications and data.
  • Intelligent Management and Ecosystem Interoperability – The NCS 5500 2X200G CFP2 MPA is designed for seamless integration with Cisco management tools and industry-standard protocols. Operators gain visibility into port health, utilization, and error metrics through familiar network management systems, SNMP, and Cisco’s centralized orchestration platforms. how to install Cisco NCS 5500 2X200G CFP2 MPA

To install the Cisco NCS 5500 2X200G CFP2 MPA, begin by powering down the NCS 5500 chassis and ensuring proper ESD precautions. Locate the appropriate port adapter slot that supports CFP2 MPAs and align the module with the chassis guide rails. Gently insert the MPA until it seats securely, then fasten any securing screws or latches per the chassis design. Connect the 200G fiber or copper cables to the two CFP2 ports, following the cable management best practices to avoid strain. Power on the chassis and verify that the module is detected by the system. Access the device’s management CLI or GUI to verify port status, link negotiation, and speed settings. Ensure software is updated to a Cisco release that supports the MPA features you intend to use, apply QoS policies if required, and save the configuration. Finally, monitor port utilization and error counters to confirm healthy operation during initial load and gradually ramp traffic to your target levels. Proper cabling, heat management, and periodic firmware updates will help sustain peak performance and reliability over time.

Pretty; sturdy; perfect size
Style: Contempo, Style: Contempo
Nice, sturdy little sponge and brush holder for the side of the sink. I was afraid my sink would me too small and spent lots of time trying to find a holder for the rim/countertop area. This one is not too big but fits my dobie and brillo perfectly. My sink is a little too short for a full fledged brush so when I tried to put in the brush I use sometimes it sticks up too much. That's really not the products fault so I won't subtract the score because of it. Also, I decided to put the holder flush against the side closest to me, instead of the side or the back of the sink. If I had chosen that location, the brush sticking out might not be an issue.

Yes the suction works on stainless steel!!
Style: Contempo
I've been through many rag holders before including a magnetic one, which broke. But the suction on this sucker (pun intended) is top notch! It doesn't slide around or come off or slide to the bottom of the sink. It just stays put which is so unique for anything with suction cups. The only reason i am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is quite small. I wish it were a few inches longer so i could easily fit two rags or sponges in the holder. But i have to jam them in and its not pretty. So for the price, i think it should have been bigger. Still a good product because of the functionality of the suction cups.

Absolutely Perfect
Style: Contempo
This is honestly one of my favorite kitchen purchases (which sounds silly) but it's AWESOME. There's a hole for my dish brush, which is so convenient and keeps it from draining anywhere else AND it has a nice ledge for my sponge. The suction was a little iffy at first, but once it really hunkered down, I've had it for a month and it hasn't fallen since the first day. I LOVE THIS

Great product once put on correctly.
Style: Contempo
When I first received it and placed it on, it continued to fall so I almost returned it. However, I found a method online that worked and it has not fallen since even after all the water and soap getting near it. I’ve placed it on a stainless steel sink so not sure if the method works on other surfaces. Clean the area with soap and water and then make sure there’s no soap residue. Make the water temperature hot and “heat up” both the steel surface and the suction. While it’s still wet, firmly place the suction and make sure it doesn’t move. That should do the trick!

Great item to make life more pleasant!
Style: Contempo
A tiny item that makes my life more lovely. No more yucky scrubber residue all over the counter edge, or soap leaking all over from a faulty handle. A sponge can be at hand and I can hang my cloth somewhere besides the top of the faucet. The suction cups stuck well now at first, and I can move it whenever I want. Not to big nor too small. Wire is firm and strong. Will edit if it doesn’t hold up but right now highly recommend! Edit to add: A bit disappointing that the suction cups are not reliable. Even after carefully cleaning the side of my deep sink with vinegar and washing the suction cups, they come loose about once a day. Giving them a hard push on seems to help, but not a cure. I revised the rating to average 3 stars. It really isn’t a problem in the sink.
